📋 Description

• Determine the patient financial component for patient services • Estimate, communicate, and collect patient financial responsibility • Provide patient financial counseling • Assist patients in understanding insurance benefits, including co-payment, deductible, and co-insurance responsibility • Educate patients about financial assistance programs when appropriate • Obtain patient demographic information and request financial responsibility from patients • Determine patient qualification for coverage by third-party payers and inform the financial counselor, patient, or family member of status • Verify commercial insurance, workers compensation insurance, TPL insurance, and state and government programs • Document and resolve patient concerns or inquiries received by telephone, mail, or walk-in within established time frames • Validate the Master Patient Index according to departmental policy • Interpret physician orders • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Ideal candidate has EHR, Healthcare, and Call Center experience • Excellent customer service and computer skills • Candidates must reside in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin; Missouri and Illinois regions preferred • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience • No experience required • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs. • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for near and far distances and to identify and distinguish colors • Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication; ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery • Frequent keyboard use/data entry • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs. • Rare climbing • No professional license or certification required
