• Launch Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product within the assigned territory • Build, maintain, and leverage local healthcare-system networks and relationships • Develop and execute effective business plans to meet customer and Ionis goals • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on FCS disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment urgency • Provide value-added resources and HCP/patient support materials and programs • Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings • Gather account insights and provide feedback to field leadership and marketing • Understand local referral networks and referral patterns for FCS patients • Identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating FCS patients • Execute brand strategic plans and develop customer-focused territory account plans • Develop tactics for hospital- and office-based endocrinologists, cardiologists, and relevant subspecialists • Adjust territory strategies to meet business goals • Participate in field meetings and training programs • Complete approved-label and compliance training • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to address customer needs • Share customer-engagement learnings with field teams and leadership • Use available platforms and technology to engage customers through multiple channels • Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across geographies • Operate in compliance with Ionis policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years of experience in Pharma sales • Experience in new product launches • Experience with account-based selling • HCP and IDN engagement experience • Cross-functional field team coordination experience • Prior experience independently managing a sales territory • Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients • Familiarity with Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community • Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts • Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies • Record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs • Injectable experience preferred
