📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end design delivery of building systems, major packages, or defined project phases from brief through construction support and commissioning handover • Lead external design consultants and coordinate developers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and internal cross-functional partners according to Iron Mountain standards • Establish package-level design plans, deliverables, decision dates, and review gates • Continuously assess risks and provide evidence-based recommendations • Provide accurate design reporting • Support site due diligence and permitting • Ensure adherence to global standards • Mentor less experienced colleagues

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 5–9 years of relevant experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex, services-led technical environments • Strong working knowledge of multidisciplinary data center design, including mechanical, electrical, controls, architectural, and civil disciplines • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and permitting processes • Commercial awareness to balance design choices against capital costs • Strong negotiation, written, and presentation skills • University degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline • U.S. Citizenship • Ability to travel up to 25%
