📋 Description

• Perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating vendor agreements, preparation of contracts and vendor management through project completion • Identify supplier sources and source quality and affordable products in a timely manner • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier and vendor relationships • Monitor project purchases, deliveries, and expenditures to ensure approved purchases are within budget guidelines, cost efficient, and high quality • Communicate with engineering teams to determine product and service needs and report backordered, changed, or missing products • Identify areas for improvement to drive performance and business results • Manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization • Develop strong relationships with management and supply partners to improve business • Assist with and develop an effective and accurate structure for monitoring purchase orders • Occasional business travel for vendor and customer meetings as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field like Business Management, Contract Management or Procurement • 5+ years of experience working as a Procurement Clerk, Junior Buyer, or any other related position • Negotiation experience of any kind • Industry and market experience • Certification preferred but not required, such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIP) certification, NVQ certifications in Supply Chain Management and Higher National Diploma/Certificate in Procurement • Shows inventiveness in completing tasks • Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time • Analytical person with quick result driven solutions • Capable of creating custom purchases for engineered and client conditions • Actively looks for, develops, and shares better solutions or ideas • The successful candidate must also pass a background check • Equal Opportunity Employer
