📋 Description

• Support the design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, and fielding of electronic hardware systems and assemblies for United States Navy undersea warfare and sensor system programs • Design, develop, and document electronic circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, acoustic devices, and associated hardware systems • Develop engineering drawings, technical data packages, design documentation, bills of materials, schematics, and configuration management artifacts • Perform schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout support, and hardware design for prototype and production systems • Maintain drawing packages, engineering change documentation, revision control, and hardware baselines • Procure, fabricate, assemble, and integrate electronic hardware systems, subsystems, components, and test articles • Develop fabrication, assembly, integration, and test procedures • Conduct functional and integration testing, troubleshooting, verification, and validation • Integrate embedded software, firmware, COTS software, and contractor-developed software into hardware platforms • Perform laboratory integration and system-level testing to verify design compliance • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions • Maintain and audit hardware travelers, manufacturing records, test documentation, and engineering records • Support developmental, qualification, laboratory, pier-side, and at-sea testing • Prepare engineering reports, test reports, trip reports, technical memoranda, and program documentation • Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, engineering working groups, and customer briefings • Support field installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational testing after Government approval • Travel to Government laboratories, test facilities, fleet locations, shipyards, and operational sites as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology • Minimum three (3) years of experience in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout • Experience with hardware testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) • Experience with schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout • Experience with hardware fabrication, assembly, and testing • Experience supporting hardware/software integration and system test activities • Familiarity with Navy, DoD, or defense acquisition programs • Experience supporting laboratory, waterfront, shipboard, or at-sea testing environments • U.S. Citizenship required • Active government security clearance required • Ability to support travel to Government laboratories, test facilities, fleet locations, shipyards, and operational sites • Knowledge of electronic hardware design and development • Knowledge of multi-layer PCB design and documentation • Knowledge of electro-mechanical system development • Knowledge of acoustic and sensor system integration • Knowledge of hardware fabrication and assembly • Knowledge of embedded hardware/software integration • Knowledge of engineering drawing development • Knowledge of test procedure development • Knowledge of configuration management • Knowledge of hardware verification and validation • Knowledge of failure analysis and troubleshooting • Knowledge of technical documentation development • Knowledge of prototype and production support • Knowledge of laboratory and at-sea test support
