📋 Description

• Manage supplier selection and part validation for Design, NPI, and Risk/Cost Reduction projects • Manage BOM pricing through design and mass production milestones • Resolve cost differences and supply chain impacts from BOM, design, and scope changes • Solicit and coordinate supplier Design for Manufacturability recommendations • Manage supplier selection in alignment with commodity management • Lead supplier negotiations and risk mitigation • Guide buyers and maintain clean-to-build part status • Drive Early Supplier Involvement • Develop supply chain strategies for Jabil-owned components on NPI projects • Guide component and supplier qualification, including DFM, FOT, PPAP, and APQP • Optimize and minimize on-hand inventory with NPI buyers and suppliers • Lead supply chain projects for cost optimization, quality improvement, and supply assurance • Lead responses to high-risk quality issues, line-down constraints, and supplier negotiations • Drive value propositions for Risk/Cost Reduction projects • Deliver Supply Chain and Sourcing outputs using Jabil templates, software, and processes • Engage in cost estimating for custom parts • Confirm components are qualified, validated, and ready for procurement before production handoff • Lead identification and deployment of Jabil process improvements • Follow safety, health, and company security procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Mechanical Engineering having worked in Supply Chain • 5–8 years or more of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to travel up to 30% through the US and Mexico • Advanced PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical or mechanical drawings and specifications • Ability to read and speak English • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and identify key information to manufacture a component following GD&T guidelines • Strong problem solving, analytic, negotiation, project management, and people skills • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, summarize information, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to solve practical problems with limited information • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
