📋 Description

• Lead on-site physical environment assessments and multiday surveys of healthcare facilities • Document findings and develop tailored plans of correction • Work with clients on solutions meeting NFPA, CMS, accrediting organization, and authority having jurisdiction requirements • Assess emergency management programs and conduct hazard vulnerability analyses • Develop policies, procedures, training, and simulation exercises for healthcare organizations • Translate regulatory requirements into practical client strategies • Deliver hands-on and classroom training in fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention • Serve as a primary contact for client engagements and address client needs • Support business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, participating in industry events, and presenting solutions • Collaborate across disciplines to develop services, professional insights, and client education materials • Keep current with regulatory, accreditation, and professional-practice changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in fire protection, fire science, safety, emergency management, or a related field is preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience will also be considered • At least five years of healthcare consulting or compliance experience involving life safety, environment of care or physical environment, and emergency management • Experience leading client engagements and working with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions • Experience identifying new business opportunities or expanding client relationships • Knowledge of NFPA 101 and related standards, including NFPA 13, 72, and 25 • Familiarity with standards used by The Joint Commission, DNV, ACHC, and AAAHC • Understanding of the CMS 2016 Emergency Preparedness Rule and relevant NFPA standards, including NFPA 99 and 1600 • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information to varied audiences • Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technology platforms • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%, with potential international assignments
