JHU EEHPC is the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Lab at Johns Hopkins University, led by Tinoosh Mohsenin. The lab focuses on designing medical, health, and wearable devices and developing tiny, energy-efficient wearable and mobile computing systems through cross-layer approaches spanning algorithms, architecture, hardware, and system integration. It applies high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods to smart health monitoring, robotics, autonomous navigation, and related domains, aiming to revolutionize healthcare, transportation, and public utilities.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and execute a portfolio of high-priority financial initiatives • Support redesign of the Utilities LLC budget structure • Provide financial process and planning support for the Student System replacement • Assist with facility project planning for the new Research Compute facility • Oversee project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, objectives, plans, and risk mitigation • Complete analysis, benchmarking, data collection, and deliverable development • Identify, resolve, and escalate project conflicts, challenges, and barriers • Oversee project teams, resources, and key deliverables • Participate in risk, issue, and change resolution and take corrective action • Interface with leaders to define priorities and communicate risks, issues, and opportunities • Monitor KPIs and report progress to senior leaders • Draft reports, presentations, spreadsheets, data visualizations, status updates, decision logs, and leadership summaries • Document budgeting workflows, templates, approval paths, control points, financial requirements, and implementation materials • Prepare budget-to-actual reports, variance explanations, financial summaries, cash flow projections, funding schedules, and financial models • Support capital budget materials, governance or board review materials, cost estimates, and early design-phase project financial tracking • Track risks, dependencies, resource needs, and project financials • Apply financial policies, procurement guidelines, and regulatory requirements • Assist with change management, stakeholder communications, coaching, mentoring, and project management best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field • Five years related experience • Additional education may substitute for required experience • Additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, subject to the JHU equivalency formula • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite • General understanding of HRIS applications for retrieving data for reporting and analysis • Knowledge of SmartSheet or comparable project planning software • Successful candidates are subject to a pre-employment background check • Seasonal flu vaccination is required, subject to religious or medical exceptions
