📋 Description

• Serve as day-to-day and on-call counsel to business clients • Review and negotiate contracts, vendor risk and security addenda, demand letters, and dispute-prevention matters • Handle regulatory compliance and licensing, including reviews, filings, license transfers, complaints, investigations, and disciplinary actions • Respond to agency investigations and audits • Advise on workplace safety, OSHA compliance, advertising and marketing review, government procurement, bid protests, and economic development incentives • Advise on employment matters including handbooks, policies, agreements, restrictive covenants, confidentiality terms, discipline, separations, releases, restructuring, and workplace investigations • Handle trademark strategy, clearance screening, USPTO filings, brand guidelines, policing, cease-and-desist work, copyright assignments, licensing, and domain disputes • Serve as primary client contact and escalate matters when risk, budget, or strategy shifts • Build compliance programs, trade secret controls, legal audits, policies, codes of conduct, conflicts policies, and data privacy/cybersecurity incident response playbooks • Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals • Improve matter plans, clause libraries, templates, technology, and legal products • Manage timekeeping, service commitments, budgets, and execution • Identify adjacent legal needs, conduct alignment conversations, maintain proactive client outreach, and support pitches and cross-selling

🎯 Requirements

• JD • Active Florida Bar license • 5+ years of business advisory, regulatory and compliance, employment, or intellectual property practice • Track record of managing matters independently, including budget discipline, accurate scoping, and reliable delivery without daily supervision • Precision drafting with clean documents, consistent defined terms, and no loose ends • Comfort communicating directly with clients, counterparties, agencies, and regulators • Ability to work inside a structured system and improve it • Sound triage judgment • Comfort delegating real work and following up • Preferred: administrative law or licensing practice before state or local agencies • Preferred: USPTO trademark prosecution experience • Preferred: employment counseling experience on the advisory side • Preferred: depth in construction, healthcare, financial services, or similar regulated industry • Preferred: experience building a compliance program from scratch • Preferred: Georgia Bar admission or willingness to seek it
