📋 Description

• Own and manage multiple commissioning projects, including greenfield builds, existing facility expansions, and restorations, ranging from 1MW to 25MW+ • Manage all facets of JLL's commissioning scope and provide technical and project management services • Lead technical and management activities throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases • Liaise with internal team members, outside consultants, and contractors to lead cross-functional data center and mission critical commissioning teams • Protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure work meets contracted requirements • Develop or manage development of Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Specifications • Publish and manage project Commissioning Plans from design phase through project completion • Develop project proposals in response to client RFPs • Identify internal and external team requirements for project commissioning scopes • Develop and manage project budgets and financials • Manage development, review, and approval of L1-L5 commissioning test scripts and procedures • Act as main point of contact with clients throughout project durations • Provide day-to-day direction to assigned internal team members • Act as the client's JLL point of escalation • Manage commissioning-focused design drawing, specification, and submittal reviews • Schedule and lead project commissioning kick-off meetings • Manage development of detailed SOPs and MOPs as required • Travel overnight up to 40% across the USA and Canada

🎯 Requirements

• Strong fluency with mission critical commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines • Expertise in quality assessment of electrical and mechanical equipment/systems installation, equipment and system startup, pre-functional inspections, acceptance testing, and commissioning activities • Successful experience coordinating with End-users, General Contractors, sub-contractors, equipment suppliers, AHJs, Engineer of Record, and other project stakeholders • Strong management and technical leadership experience throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases • Proficiency in QA/QC and Cx software applications such as BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, and Procore • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 40% across the USA and Canada • Minimum of 10 years of relevant mission critical commissioning project management experience • An ABET accredited engineering or technology degree is preferred; equivalent industry experience is acceptable • Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized industry authority • PE and/or PMP designations are considered an asset but are not required • Knowledge and experience testing utility transformers, UPS systems, generators, automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs, STSs, fuel oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, BMS, chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, AHUs, and liquid cooling systems • Exceptional people management and team leadership skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong proficiency in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Experience working in a consultancy or owner organization is an asset • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
