📋 Description

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the Great Lakes territory aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives • Cultivate professional relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs • Conduct high-quality, two-way, non-promotional scientific exchange with healthcare professionals • Collect, synthesize, and apply clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-level information • Leverage AI tools and insights to improve decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes • Maintain awareness of competitors and incorporate evidence-based clinical context into engagement planning • Deliver scientific data through clear dialogue and presentations tailored to HCP needs • Identify challenges or unmet needs and propose evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives • Submit timely, actionable insights informing medical strategy and cross-functional discussions • Respond to unsolicited inquiries about J&J products and research • Support investigators and internal partners for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies • Collaborate compliantly with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders • Maintain scientific acumen through self-reading, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions • Foster inclusion and belonging internally and externally • Maintain knowledge of regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, Medical Affairs SOPs, and guidelines • Develop a performance and development plan with the Field Director and contribute to leadership or enterprise initiatives • Complete administrative requirements, activity documentation, and expense reporting accurately and compliantly

🎯 Requirements

• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers) • Post graduate experience is required for Doctoral level candidates, with preference for therapeutic area clinical experience • In-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge • Research and/or health care system knowledge • Proficiency in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis • Ability to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory travel, internal meetings, and congresses • Must hold a valid US Driver’s License • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role (preferred) • 2+ years of therapeutic area experience (preferred) • Residency/fellowship (preferred) • Board certification for clinical degrees (preferred) • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI (preferred)
