📋 Description

• Contribute clinical and scientific perspective to the local execution plan addressing customer challenges, issues, and opportunities • Coordinate execution of field activities • Build, cultivate, and leverage relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the territory • Engage Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, Key Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy stakeholders • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem and align with Otsuka’s patient-centric strategy • Provide evidence-based clinical, economic, and humanistic information about Otsuka and its products • Partner with providers and stakeholders to apply real-world solutions that improve patient outcomes • Build internal working relationships across the matrix team and execute local medical strategies • Disseminate disease-state and healthcare-landscape information to field customers • Provide clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers • Support Otsuka’s speaker bureau and product educational needs • Collect and submit medical insights to inform decision-making and evidence-generation priorities • Assist with clinical trials, including registrational, post-marketing, and investigator-sponsored trials • Provide clinical expertise and feedback on clinical-trial site selection and performance • Mentor peers, new hires, and therapeutic-function development • Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence

🎯 Requirements

• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences required • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs • Understanding of the interconnectivity of health systems and overall delivery of patient care • Experience working with healthcare professionals and other decision makers • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the industry, Otsuka’s business model and value proposition, key competitors, and marketplace factors/dynamics • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Ability to lead others and project teams strategically • Ability to summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives concisely and effectively • Strong understanding of industry legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation • Behaviors aligned with Otsuka Corporate Brand, including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility • Ability to travel by air or car up to 70% of the time depending on territory size • Preferred living location is a key city in the territory
