📋 Description

• Provide nursing triage services and health advice by phone and in person when applicable • Assess patient acuity and determine the need for medical support • Provide diagnostic testing results and related education • Manage accurate, appropriate, and timely telephone and electronic messaging • Provide protocol-driven clinical advice • Assess patients by phone and document chief complaints, symptoms, history, pharmacy, and contact information using established protocols • Initiate and coordinate emergency treatment when necessary • Prioritize urgent calls and report pertinent information to triage providers • Educate patients and families • Schedule or facilitate emergency appointments • Coordinate patient care and requests across departments, specialties, and sites • Assist with orientation and training of new personnel • Document ongoing patient and customer communication and respond promptly to needs • Reinforce provider instructions and treatment-plan compliance • Explain medical conditions • Manage patient concerns using clinical protocols and service recovery techniques • Complete and route patient documentation in a timely manner • Suggest process improvements and solutions • Coordinate care and services with external organizations, including insurers, home health, and medical facilities

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required) • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) • Basic Life Support Certification • 5 years of nursing experience strongly preferred • ICU/ED/Critical Care experience strongly preferred • BSN preferred • Specialty certification preferred • Proficient computer skills • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Windows, and Teams • Clinical skills • Healthcare industry knowledge • Medical devices and tools knowledge • Patient safety knowledge • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a • Every other weekend and holiday rotation • Travel of less than 25% may be required for orientation/training, meetings, or other business needs
