📋 Description

• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessment activities • Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive, student-centric learning environment • Complete required tasks by deadlines, including final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, and input for grade appeals • Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable • Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content • Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services • Work closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program • Contribute to program quality, student engagement, and student success

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum master's degree in education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution • Current and active California Single Subject Teaching Credential • Knowledge of California frameworks, standards, assessment systems, and current educational initiatives • 5+ years of secondary (grades 6-12) classroom teaching experience in a Single Subject area • 3+ years within the past 5 years of secondary classroom teaching demonstrating current knowledge of instructional practices, student engagement strategies, curriculum standards, and assessment practices • Experience mentoring, coaching, supervising, or supporting teacher candidates, beginning teachers, or interns • Higher education teaching experience in teacher preparation, particularly in methods, clinical practice, supervision, or field experience courses • Experience using data to improve instruction and candidate performance • Knowledge of teacher performance assessments (CalTPA or similar) • Experience supporting diverse student populations including English learners and students with disabilities • Experience working with adult learners and facilitating professional learning for educators • Demonstrated proficiency with instructional technology and educational AI tools, including responsible, ethical, and effective integration into teaching and learning • Preferred: experience serving in teacher leadership roles • Preferred: experience collaborating with schools, districts, and community partners • Cover letter required • Curriculum vita required • Statement of teaching experience for a diverse student body required • Unofficial transcripts of highest degree attained required
