• Direct operational activities for regional sites through partnerships with site General Managers • Act as liaison between the organization and clients and manage complex customer relationships • Analyze and identify value-added services matching customer needs with solution selling • Drive long-range plans for customer sites to optimize operational efficiency and economy while maximizing profits • Execute and help form the network vision and translate it to sites and employees • Identify new business opportunities and maximize revenue and margins with existing customers • Own customer relationships through transparent and proactive communication • Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews covering performance, value-added services, and challenges • Oversee and continuously evaluate day-to-day site performance against established KPIs • Meet at least monthly with assigned General Managers to maintain visibility into daily operations • Drive safety initiatives throughout the network • Develop and maintain customer profiles and review business issues, organizational structure, opportunities, information flow, competitors, processes, and contracts • Build business cases and present proposals and value solutions aligned with customer objectives • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to employees within the operation • Work with Learning & Development on strategic staff development • Direct implementation of new programs and processes cross-functionally • Use Lean Six Sigma tools to assess site capabilities and improve efficiency, safety, quality, and financial performance • Regularly visit sites and establish a management presence aligned with Kenco principles • Travel approximately 50%–75% • Perform other applicable duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, logistics, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred • 8-10 years of supply chain management, business management or logistics experience required; regulatory experience preferred for some but not all sites • 3-5 years of logistic site leadership with budgetary experience required • Lean Six Sigma and/or Supply Chain certification or training preferred • Strong leadership and management skills with the proven ability to maximize team performance and development required • Robust understanding of supply chain strategies required • Strong customer relationship skills; ability to balance and manage customers’ expectations while aligning with corporate goals • Strong problem-solving ability, planning/organization skills, and decision-making ability • Ability to communicate and articulate professionally, in both speech and writing • Interpersonal influence skills • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities • Understanding of and ability to control HR costs and growth • Proactive approach to employee relations issues • Detailed knowledge and grasp of financial practices and accounting • Ability to set policy and procedures • Ability to lead others effectively utilizing a team approach • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
