• Plan and execute Kickstarter’s portfolio of brand, creator, category, industry, and community events • Translate strategic and creative concepts into event plans, production timelines, budgets, and onsite experiences • Collaborate with Brand, Communications, Outreach, Growth, Editorial & Content, and other teams to define audience, purpose, creative direction, and measures of success • Develop distinctive event formats and experiences meaningful to served communities • Own end-to-end event operations, including venues, vendors, production, staffing, travel, run-of-show, guest experience, risk planning, and onsite execution • Source, negotiate with, and manage agencies, fabricators, production teams, venues, caterers, and other event partners • Build and maintain a diverse network of trusted vendors and cultural partners across key markets • Manage event budgets to maximize impact without compromising experience quality • Establish repeatable planning tools, processes, and standards for efficient execution across multiple events • Anticipate challenges, make decisions under pressure, and keep collaborators aligned • Extend event impact through content, media, social amplification, and post-event engagement • Evaluate event performance and apply insights to improve future programming and investment decisions
• Experience producing brand, cultural, community, industry, or experiential events from concept through completion • Strong creative instinct and ability to turn ideas into compelling physical or virtual experiences • Exceptional project management, organizational, and budget-management skills • Established relationships with high-quality vendors, venues, production partners, and event specialists • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines while maintaining guest experience and strategic objectives • Strong negotiation skills and resourcefulness with budgets • Calm, solutions-oriented approach to changes and challenges of live and virtual events • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Understanding of how events support brand building, community development, relationship management, and business growth • Enthusiasm for Kickstarter’s mission and creative communities
