📋 Description

• Oversee and manage food service operations across multiple correctional facilities within a designated district or region • Assist Food Service Directors in day-to-day kitchen operations by traveling to kitchens and working with directors • Join opening teams for new accounts and direct and train new Food Service Directors and employees • Coordinate with Traveling Managers on vacancy coverage, PTO coverage, and new openings • Coordinate weekly transmittal of kitchen reports with the Accounting team • Coordinate required new-hire, termination, and disciplinary documentation with Human Resources • Supervise and coordinate food service operations across multiple facilities • Ensure adherence to standardized procedures, policies, and regulatory guidelines • Monitor food production for quality, portion control, and consistency • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations through inspections and audits • Develop and manage budgets for food costs, labor, and supplies • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining food service standards • Train and mentor facility food service managers and staff • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate training programs • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including procurement negotiations • Maintain records related to inventory, production, expenditures, and compliance • Prepare reports and present operational performance metrics to senior management • Foster relationships with correctional facility management and Skillet Kitchens staff • Address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with food service operations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, food service management, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience • Significant experience in food service management, with demonstrated leadership in a multi-facility or district-level role • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and food safety regulations • ServSafe certification, given as an example of food safety knowledge • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams • Flexible hours may be required to oversee operations and respond to operational needs • Willingness and ability to travel between correctional facilities within the designated district • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a secure and regulated environment • Weekends and holidays as needed
