📋 Description

• Own the security program end-to-end as Kodex scales • Own CorpSec, SecOps, compliance, CloudSec, and AppSec responsibilities • Own detection, response, and prevention across a Mac-first environment • Run and refine the SentinelOne stack, phishing/email-security defense, and incident response playbooks • Drive the SOC 2/Vanta program and own the January–February audit cycle as primary technical owner • Own Okta, Google Workspace, and access-management guardrails while enforcing least privilege • Use Datadog and SentinelOne to close visibility gaps and build actionable alerts and dashboards • Manage security reviews of vendors and integrations and maintain Vanta as the source of truth • Build security culture through clear documentation, practical training, and usable playbooks

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of security engineering experience, ideally at a startup or small (< 200 person) company • Hands-on, zero-to-one operator experience building security programs from scratch and making independent judgment calls in ambiguity • Experience with Mac fleet security, MDM, and Apple-native tooling • CorpSec and SecOps depth, including detection engineering, incident response, phishing defense, and endpoint security • Experience owning or contributing heavily to a SOC 2 audit cycle • Familiarity with Datadog, SentinelOne, Okta, Google Workspace, Vanta, or close analogues • Practical security thinking focused on real threats and trade-offs • Excellent communication skills, including writing clear playbooks and explaining reasoning to non-security stakeholders • Current lawful authorization to work in the United States • Nice to have: CS degree • Nice to have: CISSP, CISM, or OSCP • Nice to have: Prior DevOps or platform engineering background transitioned into security • Nice to have: Experience running third-party security reviews and vendor risk • Nice to have: Detection engineering at scale, including Datadog/SIEM authoring
