📋 Description

• Provide technical expertise on the design and construction of new and existing modules • Use appropriate development tools and data flows across the full stack • Leverage full-stack technologies including UI, API, middleware, micro-services, and ETL • Develop and implement user-friendly interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks including Next.js, Node.js, and React • Build robust and scalable back-end services • Develop new user-facing features using Node or React.js • Build reusable components and front-end libraries • Partner with digital product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and quality engineers • Design and deliver extensible web applications following accessibility, visualization, and usability best practices • Deliver digital products in an agile team environment • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development • Iterate on frontend features based on customer feedback • Perform unit testing and contribute to code reviews • Optimize website performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility • Document code and APIs clearly and concisely • Stay current with development trends and technologies • Report to the Sr. Director, eCommerce Technology Delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for the outdoors, skiing, sailing & related activities • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or any discipline • Strong CS fundamentals, including system design, data structures and algorithms • At least 5+ years of production Javascript/Typescript application design, development and testing experience • At least 5+ years of web application development experience, preferably with Node.js framework applications using RESTful APIs and database technology such as MySQL • Experience developing and maintaining full-stack web applications using Next.js • Proficient in at least one modern front-end framework, Node.js or React.js, and supporting technologies • Pragmatic approach to delivering modular and extensible code • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements • Experience working with a global engineering team is a plus • Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and continuous delivery practices • Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing • Flexible working hours as part of a global team • Ability to thrive in a lean, high-growth, start-up environment • Ability to work well across functions, diverse communities, and different time zones • Ability to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel • Must work in the East Coast time zone
