📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs primarily using Python • Develop and integrate APIs across AWS, Databricks, databases, and other systems • Support applications and data environments involving large-scale, terabyte- and petabyte-scale datasets • Develop and support multi-tenant applications with scalability, security, and data isolation considerations • Design and support event-driven systems, including asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-based workflows • Work with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms • Troubleshoot and optimize application, API, data, and cloud performance • Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS as needed • Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to improve development productivity and code quality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience • Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree • 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent demonstrated technical experience • Must have 3+ years of Databricks experience to be considered • Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and cloud-based applications or data environments • Experience working with large or complex datasets • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills • Experience working in an Agile software development environment • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person who has lived in the United States for the past three consecutive years • CMS program candidates must have lived in the United States at least 3 of the last 5 years • Production experience with AWS and Databricks • Experience with petabyte-scale data, multi-tenant architectures, and event-driven applications • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS • Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring
