📋 Description

• Support month-end close and reporting for accounting and reconciliation processes • Interface with internal systems and Kraken's proprietary exchange platform to assist with fiat and digital asset position reconciliations across banks and crypto wallets • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close • Research and correct discrepancies and communicate findings and actions to cross-functional stakeholders • Support financial reporting and regulatory requests • Ensure consolidated and standalone financials comply with regulatory environments and entities globally • Manage and develop reconciliation processes for efficiency and transparency • Analyze data against business drivers to identify issues and trends • Maintain and review daily, monthly, and yearly reconciliations • Support internal and external audits • Document processes and procedures to maintain proper controls • Participate in ad hoc requests and perform additional duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field • 2+ years of accounting or audit experience from a Big 4 or national accounting firm • Knowledge of US GAAP • Experience with SOX • Ability to handle multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and H & V-Lookup • Collaborative, innovative, flexible, and adept at building relationships across the organization • CPA in good standing is a nice-to-have • Industry experience in crypto, financial services, fintech, broker-dealer, banking, or exchange is a nice-to-have • Experience or knowledge of cryptocurrency is a nice-to-have • Experience and knowledge of SQL is a nice-to-have • Experience with high-volume transactions is a nice-to-have • Experience using Netsuite is a nice-to-have • Must live and work within US timezones (Pacific to Eastern)
