📋 Description

• Manage accounting projects or processes with general supervision • Maintain accounts and records across general and/or cost accounting functions • Develop, implement and maintain accounting systems, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and revenue reconciliation • Compile data, allocate costs, prepare operating expense reports and analyze financial information • Prepare income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss, consolidated and other accounting statements • Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations • Adhere to and communicate accounting and auditing policies and procedures • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, correcting journal entries and reclasses • Open, close and review Accounts Payable/Purchasing Subledger month-end reports • Support daily Oracle interfaces and reconciliations • Provide backup for prepayments, enterprise RNI, SBS Metrics and cash applications • Prepare and post project accounting expenditure batches (PAEB) • Support Ariba Non-PO payment requests, SBS initiatives, financial areas and audit requests • Communicate with contacts inside and outside the department

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant accounting experience • Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related accounting experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related accounting experience • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate assigned activities • Knowledge and experience in GAAP, FAR, and SOX • Experience in Government contracting preferred • Ability to serve multiple customers • Self-motivated and proactive • Well-developed verbal and written skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint • Prior experience in Oracle highly desirable
