• Provide quality service and repair of complex Wescam MX-Series airborne surveillance turrets • Repair, test, and maintain Wescam MX-Series sensor systems according to established processes and customer deadlines • Understand gimbal systems, components, and peripheral interfaces • Troubleshoot, repair, and test failed systems • Troubleshoot aircraft integration issues for the MX product line • Perform preventative maintenance on MX turrets • Complete initial MX training and extensive on-the-job training • Support U.S. Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and DOD Military customers by repairing mission-critical sensor systems • Serve as a resource to other employees in areas of expertise • Complete service and repair documentation and technical trip reports • Provide customers with training on MX operations and operator-level maintenance procedures • Make independent decisions affecting the performance and availability of mission-critical systems • Work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on corrective actions • Support occasional off-hour or weekend customer tasks • Deploy to OCONUS sites for short-term assignments, including potentially hazardous conflict regions
• High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/Associate’s Degree and minimum 3 years of prior related experience • Ability to obtain and maintain an active secret security clearance • Willingness and ability to support short-term assignments at OCONUS sites • Must meet all medical requirements for overseas assignment, including a comprehensive post-offer medical examination • Minimum 4 years of experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment • Minimum 4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft integration, electronic, and mechanical systems down to the line-replaceable-unit level • Minimum 4 years of prior FSR experience in CONUS and OCONUS repair assignments is desired • Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and specialized software test programs • Minimum 4 years of experience communicating clearly with technical and non-technical customers • Direct experience with systems integration, software, optical, and electromechanical systems is preferred • Previous experience with aircraft-, tower-, or aerostat-based MX sensor systems is highly desired • Familiarity with government contracting is preferred but not required • Experience working with limited supervision or autonomously • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously • Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Special Operations, AFSOC, DOD, Airborne Law Enforcement, or similar experience is desired
