📋 Description

• Assist with and perform warranty repairs and commissioning of SMA utility inverters in the field • Assist with commissioning, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze SMA utility inverters via email, telephone, and site visits • Develop detailed knowledge of SMA utility inverter products, SMA accessories, and third-party accessories • Maintain accurate inventory counts of SMA-provided spare parts • Work with high-voltage DC electricity, three-phase power, and inverter software and firmware • Maintain customer satisfaction while lowering field-service costs • Assist with, perform, and maintain maintenance activities according to SMA product maintenance manuals • Travel to customer sites throughout the Southeast region • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Must currently reside in or near Jackson, MS or Baton Rouge, LA; candidates outside the Southeast territory are not supported • Bachelor's degree in a technical field strongly preferred, or equivalent experience working in the renewables industry • At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications • Prior renewable energy industry experience strongly preferred • Ability to work occasional nonstandard business hours and schedules • Knowledge of solar and/or alternative energy markets preferred • Knowledge of the National Electric Code preferred • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively • Significant domestic and possible international travel required • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no employment visa sponsorship • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship or visa-tied employment authorization • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to work in field-service environments with occasional electrical hazards and extreme weather exposure
