• Provide technical support for FAA programs and systems, including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, and WMSS • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customers’ remote locations • Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacities at customer locations within the assigned area • Travel occasionally to remote sites outside the assigned area to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Take notes and document work performed at customer locations • Work directly with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicles • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatch • Work with the supervisor/ASL to ensure L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures are followed • Support Boston Airspace and sites within the airspace
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience • Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent and a satisfactory driving record • Ability to work from home in an “on-call” status • Ability to obtain and maintain active FAA Security Clearance • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 3-hour drive circle of the base location and outside the assigned region as needed • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds • Ability to use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Willingness and/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a high-stress and high-visibility environment • Good working knowledge of cable connectors, including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449 • Excellent working knowledge of fiber • Working knowledge of multiplexers, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, Private Line, and voice and data applications • Good working knowledge of AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC • Familiarity with 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies • Experience with network and circuit testing, including T1, DS3, BERT, and analog VG testing within Bellcore standards • Working knowledge and use of network test equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope, or other T1/DS3 test sets • IP-based knowledge and experience configuring routers and switches • Experience installing equipment racks • Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ certifications listed as preferred additional skills
