📋 Description

• Provide technical support for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventive maintenance on networking and telecommunications equipment at customer remote locations • Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacities at customer locations within the assigned area • Occasionally travel to remote sites outside the assigned area to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Take notes and document work performed and events at customer locations • Work with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicle • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatching • Work outside regularly scheduled hours when needed to meet customer needs • Coordinate with the supervisor/ASL to ensure L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures are followed • Commute daily to and from indoor and outdoor customer remote locations within the assigned area

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA security clearance • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record required as conditions of initial and continued employment • Experience with fiber, Carrier Ethernet, Multiplexes, DACS, Routers/Switches, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice, and Data applications • Experience with cable connectors and replacements including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449, BNC and 50 pin Amphenol • Working knowledge of AC/DC power testing; 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies, backup power supplies, UPSs, and site grounding • Experience logging into network equipment and circuit testing using varied test equipment/laptops • Knowledge of Bell Core Standards, analog 2-wire/4-wire testing, digital DSX1/T1, DSX3/T3, RS232/RS530, Carrier Ethernet RFC, and IP interface testing • Experience using Viavi 5800, JDSU HST3000, DataScout, Ameritech AM5XT, digital oscilloscopes, Halcyon 704A, Anritsu Spectrum Analyzer, and other T1/DS3 test sets • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on backup generators • Experience with Microsoft and MS Office Suite • Experience working remotely with Network Operation Control Centers • Experience interfacing and communicating directly with customers • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in high-stress and high-visibility environments • Ability to work independently with little oversight • Ability to support customer needs after-hours/on-call • Experience working in a Telco central office environment • Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 ft.
