• Serve as a primary Supply Chain/Material Management interface for assigned programs • Partner with Program Management and cross-functional organizations to execute program material requirements • Own and maintain the overall material position, including material on hand, purchase orders, requisitions, unplaced demand, shortages, quality/inspection constraints, supplier recovery actions, and future material requirements • Lead material readiness and Line of Balance activities to assess production and delivery schedule support • Identify material risks, opportunities, and constraints and drive root-cause analysis, program-impact assessment, mitigation/recovery plans, ownership, and deadlines • Own monthly material forecasting, including cost and schedule drivers, risks and opportunities, variance analysis, and corrective actions • Support Estimates at Completion, material budgets, forecast-to-go activities, variance analysis, and long-range material planning • Support development and production proposals through material estimates, supplier strategies, schedule requirements, risks and opportunities, and affordability initiatives • Provide guidance to other MPMs and lead complex material initiatives • Report to the MPM Manager and potentially serve as lead MPM for a major program, product line, or complex project portfolio
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience • Experience in Supply Chain, Material Management, Program Management, Procurement, Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, or related discipline • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), production planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier management • Experience with material forecasting, EACs, financial planning, variance analysis, and risk and opportunity management • Experience developing or utilizing Line of Balance, material-readiness, shortage-management, or similar tools • Understanding of development and production program lifecycles • Working knowledge of project and program management principles, including program planning, Integrated Master Scheduling, budgeting, and Earned Value Management • Experience supporting government or defense programs and familiarity with the defense acquisition environment • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
