📋 Description

• Analyze invitation-to-bid documents, construction drawings, specifications, and scope of work documents to determine electrical requirements • Perform detailed quantity take-offs using digital take-off software • Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs • Solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes • Develop basis of estimate documentation covering assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications • Collaborate with operations and pre-construction teams on value-engineering ideas and constructability reviews • Participate virtually in pre-bid and post-bid meetings with clients, engineers, and general contractors • Use estimating software to build and format professional proposals • Maintain current knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, material pricing, and labor rates • Manage multiple estimates while meeting strict deadlines • Work remotely for the majority of work hours • Participate in some in-person collaboration, learning, relationship-building, and client/community activities

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry • Direct experience with data center projects is required • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including primary and secondary power distribution, emergency/back-up power systems, generators, UPS, ATS, branch power, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail • Ability to independently read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFPs • Proven experience estimating large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects • Proficiency with electrical estimating software such as Accubid and ConEst • Proficiency with digital take-off tools such as Bluebeam Revu
