📋 Description

• Pull, route, terminate, label, and dress structured cabling, including Cat6/Cat6A and fiber • Mount IP cameras, run cable to them, and support the Lead in bringing systems online • Install access control hardware, including readers, controllers, electric hardware, and request-to-exit devices • Run speaker cable, mount speakers and amplifiers, and support audio system installation • Install patch panels, switches, and PoE devices to specification • Build cable tray, ladder rack, and pathways as needed • Test and troubleshoot cable runs under the Lead’s direction • Follow the Lead’s direction on tasks, sequencing, and quality • Keep the work area organized, protect completed work, and leave the site clean daily • Follow safety standards, wear PPE, use ladders and lifts safely, and report safety concerns • Travel to operating Lava Island parks for warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades

🎯 Requirements

• One or more years of hands-on experience in low voltage installation, electrical work, or a related construction trade • Equivalent vocational training considered • Basic understanding of structured cabling concepts and installation practices • Willingness to learn IP camera, access control, and commercial audio installation • Ability to follow detailed technical direction from a senior team member • Able and willing to travel heavily with multi-day to multi-week site stays • OSHA 10 certification within 30 days of hire • Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift, boom lift), or willingness to obtain them • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Must pass a background check • Able to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical installation tasks on an active construction site • BICSI Installer 1 certification, prior IP camera or access control experience, and bilingual (English/Spanish) are strong pluses
