• Execute and deliver challenging business valuation engagements from initial proposal preparation through project completion • Perform industry research, including comparable publicly traded companies and similar transactions • Analyze competitive industry dynamics and assess peer-company financial conditions • Perform financial statement and benchmarking analysis • Prepare and interpret financial valuation models • Create valuation reports for financial institutions, attorneys, private businesses, and accounting firms • Serve as the key client contact throughout valuation engagements • Manage receipt of financial documents, respond to client questions, and deliver finalized valuation reports • Participate in business development activities such as conferences and networking events as interested • Work on projects with the division Director as needed • Conduct forensic financial analyses, build models, maintain documents, assist in report writing, and perform quality control procedures • Discuss and outline problems/issues with a manager or Managing Director and act on preferred advice • Analyze data and financial/non-financial information using a forensic approach • Develop reports for entity valuation, purchase price allocation, tax planning, and succession planning • Prepare clear, concise reports understandable to clients, attorneys, and the Court • Remain flexible and responsive to client needs, including attending meetings at client-specified times and places • Work long days and meet tight deadlines when required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance, required • CVA or ABV certified, required • Two or more years of private company valuation experience, required • Experience analyzing financial statements and related schedules, required • ASC 718 and/or ASC 805 experience, preferred • Prior experience with BVR or related valuation databases, preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required • Understanding of economics, financial theory and/or principles of accounting, required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Superior analytical and research skills • Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details • Ability to successfully multitask while working independently or within a group environment • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times • Flexibility for travel up to 20% • Must not require now or in the future LCG sponsorship through a non-immigrant visa category such as H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN
