📋 Description

• Provide preventive and general maintenance for analytical and metallographic instrumentation • Perform breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective actions • Perform new instrumentation installations • Install updates and upgrade kits • Train customers on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices • Maintain accurate inventory records, expense reports, and vehicle logs • Build and maintain customer relationships as a customer-facing team member • Support service activities at customer facilities in the Western Region • Travel to customer locations up to four overnights/five days per week depending on workload

🎯 Requirements

• Self-motivated and able to work remotely with limited supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Adherence to customer site and safety requirements • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3–5 months • Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country • Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan • Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week, Monday–Friday • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings • Authorized to work in the US without restriction • Strong mechanical skills • Previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or ability to learn • One or more of: Two Year Technical Degree, Trade School, prior military experience with training in a technical field, or equivalent work experience/training in a technical field • Chemistry or military background advantageous but not required
