📋 Description

• Perform testing, maintenance and repair of low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and other electrical apparatus in the shop and field • Perform Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current and Timing tests on low- and medium-voltage breakers • Complete mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including teardown, refurbishment and parts replacement • Wire circuit breakers • Utilize and accurately read test equipment • Read schematics and wiring drawings • Troubleshoot circuit breaker controls • Read and plot time-current curves • Test transformers, including Power Factor and TTR • Accurately and consistently document using Power DB • Work with electrical tools and socket sets

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5 years’ related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance • Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing • Ability to carry out written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables • Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions • Ability to read company manuals, reports, workplace rules and procedures • Ability to speak with poise and confidence, using correct English • Ability to perform regular field work indoors and outdoors • Valid Driver’s license and good driving record • High School Diploma • Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or an Electrical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited college, or similar military experience and training preferred
