📋 Description

• Provide preventive and general maintenance for analytical and metallographic instrumentation • Perform breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective actions • Perform new instrumentation installations • Perform updates and upgrade kit installations • Provide training on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices • Build and maintain customer relationships as a customer-facing team member • Support service activities at customer facilities • Maintain accurate inventory records, expense reports, and vehicle logs • Travel throughout the Southwestern Region and surrounding regions as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Self-motivated and accountable when working remotely with limited supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Adhere to customer site and safety requirements • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3–5 months • Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country • Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan • Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week, Monday–Friday • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings • Authorized to work in the United States without restriction • Strong mechanical skills • Previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or ability to learn • One or more of: two-year technical degree, trade school, prior military experience with training in a technical field, or equivalent work experience or training in a technical field • Chemistry or military background advantageous but not required
