📋 Description

• Provide preventive and general maintenance for analytical and metallographic instrumentation • Perform breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective actions • Install new instrumentation and updates or upgrade kits • Train customers on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices • Build and maintain customer relationships as a customer-facing team member • Support service activities at customer facilities • Maintain accurate inventory records, expense reports, and vehicle logs • Service customers in the Southwestern Region, primarily Texas and Louisiana, with travel to surrounding regions as needed • Work remotely with minimal supervision, spending most time at customer locations

🎯 Requirements

• Self-motivated and accountable when working remotely with limited supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Adhere to customer site and safety requirements • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills • Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3–5 months • Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country • Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan • Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week, Monday–Friday • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings • Authorized to work in the US without restriction • Strong mechanical skills • Previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or ability to learn • One or more of: Two Year Technical Degree, Trade School, prior military experience with technical-field training, or equivalent work experience or training in a technical field • Chemistry or military background is advantageous, but not required
