📋 Description

• Provide preventive and general maintenance for analytical and metallographic instrumentation • Perform breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective actions • Install new instrumentation and perform updates and upgrade-kit installations • Train customers on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices • Maintain accurate inventory records, expense reports, and vehicle logs • Build and maintain customer relationships as a customer-facing team member • Support service activities at customer facilities • Attend required instrumentation and annual service training in St. Joseph, Michigan • Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country • Travel throughout the Northwestern Region and surrounding regions as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Self-motivated and accountable when working remotely with limited supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to adhere to customer site and safety requirements while behaving professionally • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Ability to travel daily, including up to four overnight hotel stays per week, Monday–Friday • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Ability to pass a background check and substance abuse screenings • Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction • Strong mechanical skills • Previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or ability to learn • One or more of: Two Year Technical Degree, Trade School, prior military experience with technical-field training, or equivalent work experience/training in a technical field • Chemistry or military background is advantageous but not required
