📋 Description

• Provide technical and project management support for commercial airport projects throughout the full project lifecycle. • Serve as site lead/project manager for site surveys and validations, risk identification and mitigation, coordination, communication, reporting, drawing review and comments, construction management and oversight, schedule development and tracking, permits, subcontractor oversight, installation oversight, test witnessing, and project close-out. • Manage assigned airport projects, including design support, statement-of-work bid packages, construction oversight, site/equipment layout evaluation, witness testing and checkout, site cleanup, and restoration. • Manage up to 5–7 projects concurrently at various lifecycle stages. • Guide or direct daily activities of geographically assigned teams of 2–10 site technicians, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and/or local general contractors. • Facilitate communications among TSA HQ, local TSA, airport stakeholders, operations management, contractors, TSA vendors, airport authorities, and government officials. • Conduct requirements analysis; review design drawings, specifications, and deliverables; support connectivity construction, installation, and acceptance testing; and oversee site cleanup and remediation. • Monitor project schedules and communicate potential delays or modified plans. • Develop agendas and lead conference calls, including ad hoc, weekly, integrated project team, and installation-readiness meetings. • Take meeting minutes and disseminate them to the team. • Provide information, schedule updates, status reporting, and forward planning to Leidos, TSA, and stakeholders. • Support the TSA SEDS program in maintaining, upgrading, and moving airport security systems to next-generation capability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience; eight additional related years may substitute for a BA/BS degree. • At least 3 years of project management experience, preferably construction management, including 2 years in an airport. • Demonstrated project management experience delivering on-time, on-budget projects. • Experience working with multiple stakeholders on a single project. • Experience planning and formulating design alternatives and solutions for construction projects. • Management experience overseeing field staff and subcontracting firms. • Experience resolving compliance issues with federal, state, and local authorities on design specifications. • Thorough understanding of airport construction practices, processes, standards, floor loading, electrical infrastructure, seismic requirements, and rigging complexities. • Familiarity with the Checkpoint Requirements Planning Guide (CRPG) for checkpoint operations. • Ability to work independently with a cross-functional team. • TSA vetted, currently or in the past. • Ability to travel up to 75% to assigned airport locations. • Ability to work non-standard shifts, including evenings or weekends, when required. • Desired: B.S. in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management. • Desired: TSA field experience at a checkpoint, baggage, or security outpost. • Desired: Transportation Security Equipment deployment management experience in the Central Region of the United States. • Professional certifications such as Licensed PE, PMI® PMP, or General Contractor License are a plus. • Knowledge of MS Project or other scheduling tools. • Ability to coordinate assignments and manage multidisciplinary technical and project management teams.
