📋 Description

• Lead material planning activities supporting multiple complex programs throughout the program lifecycle • Develop and execute material acquisition strategies that align with program schedules, customer requirements, and funding profiles • Collaborate with Program Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to identify material requirements and ensure on-time program execution • Analyze demand, inventory, lead times, and supplier performance to proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks • Monitor material status from planning through receipt, resolving shortages and schedule impacts before they affect program performance • Coordinate forecasting, prioritization, and expediting activities with Strategic Sourcing and commodity management teams • Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases, leverage strategic supplier relationships, and improve acquisition efficiency • Develop metrics, reports, and dashboards to communicate material status, schedule health, and key performance indicators to program and leadership teams • Provide guidance to program teams regarding material management processes, purchasing strategies, and supply chain best practices • Drive continuous process improvements that enhance material availability, reduce cycle times, and improve operational performance

🎯 Requirements

• Experience supporting DoD or federal government contracts • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government procurement practices • Experience with Costpoint, SLATE, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/MRP systems • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools • Understanding of supplier management, procurement planning, and inventory optimization techniques • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent supply chain certification • Experience supporting proposal efforts, material estimating, or supply chain risk assessments
