📋 Description

• Serve as a technical lead for a diverse portfolio of federal environmental remediation projects • Support CERCLA and RCRA investigations, feasibility studies/corrective measures studies, decision documents, RD/RA, long-term monitoring and operations, and environmental compliance activities • Define project requirements and technical objectives and lead multidisciplinary project teams • Direct and support development of project work plans and technical deliverables, including PMPs, QAPPs, APPs, HASPs, RI/FS reports and cost estimates, PPs, RODs, remedial design packages, RD/RAWPs, and related technical documents • Develop exit strategies and solutions for complex technical and regulatory challenges • Support proposal development, including technical solutions, management approaches, risk mitigation strategies, and bases of estimate • Mentor and develop junior engineering staff in remediation system design, implementation, operation, and maintenance • Ensure compliance with Leidos and client environmental, quality, health, and safety requirements • Prepare and present technical findings and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the public • Interface with Leidos leadership, program and project managers, senior technical staff, clients, and external stakeholders • Travel to project locations as needed for client and stakeholder meetings, site visits, and other project activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline and at least 12 years relevant environmental experience, or a Master's degree and at least 10 years • Professional Engineer (PE) license • Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA • Experience evaluating, designing, or implementing remedial technologies • Experience addressing PFAS, VOCs, SVOCs, explosives, metals, PCBs, and pesticides/herbicides • Experience engaging with local, state, and federal stakeholders and regulatory agencies • Experience developing or supporting technical, management, and cost/price proposals • Experience authoring peer-reviewed technical publications and white papers and presenting at technical conferences • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project • Valid driver’s license • Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent residency is required
