📋 Description

• Lead full life cycle ("cradle-to-grave") subcontract management activities for primarily US Government programs • Support programs, proposals, and business objectives of the Defense Sector • Serve as the primary interface between subcontractors and the program for contractual management of agreements • Interact with program management, contracts, project control, finance, growth, and other functional areas • Support proposal activities, including NDAs, teaming agreements, solicitation packages, subcontractor proposal evaluation, price analysis, and negotiation • Award subcontracts and manage post-award activities, including modifications, risk mitigation, issue resolution, internal reporting, and closeout • Identify and resolve moderately complex subcontract issues and recommend mitigation steps to management • Review files for compliance and coach more junior staff on policies, procedures, and best practices • Manage time, prioritize actions, meet deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team

🎯 Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience • Must be a US Citizen • Experience awarding and managing subcontracts in a government-approved purchasing system • Intermediate knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements • Experience negotiating price and complex terms and conditions • Organizational skills to manage concurrent projects • Business acumen to prioritize actions and resolve subcontract management issues of varying complexity • Ability to clearly articulate statuses and issues to management, internal partners, and suppliers • Preferred undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration • Working experience with an automated purchasing system, preferably Deltek Costpoint and iValua • Experience independently leading the subcontracts portion of proposal efforts • Experience building strong supplier relationships • Track record managing a variety of subcontract types and interfacing with internal customers, functional support staff, and suppliers
