📋 Description

• Provide AJW-142 En Route Surveillance Team Long Range Radar technician services • Coordinate with Airway Transportation Systems Specialists to assist maintenance, modification, and repair needs for ARSR-4 or CARSR systems • Provide technical guidance, assist with obtaining parts, and perform on-site support as needed • Troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, and electromechanical problems and support radar system restoration • Provide electrical and electromechanical fabrication, assembly, installation, and deployment support • Collect, maintain, organize, and analyze technical data for troubleshooting, maintenance, and system improvements • Document maintenance actions, equipment modifications, test results, and configuration changes • Coordinate field activities with site personnel, engineering staff, and support teams • Communicate schedules, milestones, risks, technical issues, and work progress • Perform on-site technical support and restoration while maintaining radar site security and following safety requirements • Perform in-service improvements and modifications of NAS systems and support DoD, DHS, and other federal agencies’ tactical homeland defense initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s with 2+ years of prior relevant experience • Four additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement • Hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, or modifying radar or comparable complex electronic systems • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings • Ability to use electronic test equipment to isolate faults, verify repairs, and restore equipment to service • Ability to independently resolve complex technical problems and recognize when additional engineering support is required • Ability to document maintenance actions, equipment modifications, test results, and changes to hardware and software configurations • Ability to coordinate field activities and communicate schedules, progress, technical issues, and risks • Ability and willingness to travel and work at operational radar sites while following site security and safety requirements • Must obtain a Secret security clearance before starting employment and maintain it throughout employment
