📋 Description

• Review and analyze disability claims to identify candidates for vocational case management services • Review accommodation event requests and support customers through an interactive process for successful accommodation outcomes • Provide consultative service to Claims teams by clarifying vocational and/or medical information • Support high-quality vocational services and accommodation activities related to ADA and PWFA requests • Partner with stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely return to work for claimants • Assess claimants’ return-to-work needs by phone and outline work objectives • Manage an assigned return-to-work and/or accommodation-services caseload • Develop and implement comprehensive vocational and/or accommodation plans • Assist claims partners in understanding occupational demands, transferability of skills, reasonable job accommodations and policy language • Collaborate with claims specialists, managers, nurses, behavioral health specialists and physicians to review medical documentation and derive recommendations • Communicate opinions professionally through email, telephone and written correspondence

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field • Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong computer and technical abilities • Experience working with people with physical and/or mental disabilities • Analytical skills with understanding of occupational titles and experience completing transferrable skills analyses • Understanding of Vocational resources (Dictionary of Occupational Titles, O*NET, ERI, OOH and OASYS) • Knowledge and understanding of ADAAA, PWFA, EEOC and reasonable accommodations • Experience assisting persons with a disability returning to the workforce using job seeking skills training techniques and offering job placement assistance • Insurance experience
