⢠Promote and sell future expeditions to onboard guests ⢠Engage guests through dining, shore excursions, personalized consultations, presentations, and workshops ⢠Maintain knowledge of upcoming expeditions, itineraries, offers, and destinations ⢠Serve as an ambassador for National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions voyages ⢠Manage onboard marketing and merchandising with shoreside marketing and sales teams ⢠Handle bookings, maintain designated sales desk hours, follow up on leads, and coordinate with reservations and sales teams ⢠Collaborate with the Expedition Leader, Hotel Manager, ship hospitality staff, and shoreside teams ⢠Gather guest feedback and market intelligence to refine sales strategies and future offerings ⢠Track sales metrics and report guest interest, conversions, and booking feedback ⢠Remove surveys, keys, outdated collateral, and distribute in-cabin collateral and guest name tags ⢠Assist with cabin upgrade inquiries, guest check-in, reception desk questions, and base camp operations ⢠Assist guests with life jackets, key-card procedures, and biosecurity crowd control ⢠Participate in mandatory drills and follow safety duties ⢠Host videos or presentations during end-of-day recaps when applicable ⢠Complete voyage recap reports analyzing bookings, data, and revenue trends ⢠Assist with guest questions related to the LEX-NG fund and perform other duties as instructed by the Hotel Director
⢠4-year college degree or equivalent experience ⢠2+ years of sales experience with proven success in a customer-facing sales role ⢠Excellent verbal and written English communication skills ⢠Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks ⢠Strong service-oriented mindset and ability to tailor conversations to guest interests and needs ⢠Ability to work independently and meet sales targets ⢠Ability to collaborate effectively with onboard staff, expedition teams, and shoreside departments ⢠Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and living onboard a ship for extended periods ⢠Administration, attention to detail, time management, multitasking, deadline management, and independent-work skills ⢠Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook ⢠Deep enthusiasm for expedition-style travel and passion for National Geographic-Lindblad destinations and experiences ⢠US Passport, or US Permanent Resident Card and valid passport ⢠Medical Certificate required ⢠Maritime Security Awareness certification required ⢠Ability to live and work onboard for a total duration of 8 months within the year ⢠Willingness to travel to remote and challenging locations ⢠Ability to stand for extended periods, move between decks, and occasionally participate in field excursions ⢠Ability to undergo required drug tests, background check, and post-offer physical examination; fit for sea duty required
