📋 Description

• Run US and international payroll end to end, from collecting inputs to final reconciliation • Own all associated payroll tax filings, domestic and international, and keep the company compliant and on time • Manage PEO and EOR relationships and understand where provider responsibility ends and internal responsibility begins • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger each cycle and support month-end close • Build and maintain the payroll calendar, processes, and documentation as payroll moves into Finance • Partner with People/Talent and accounting on new hires, changes, terminations, and month-end reconciliation • Support equity administration in Carta and equity reporting for the board • Serve as the go-to contact for internal payroll questions and external auditor requests

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience running both US and international payroll, including Canada and/or the EU • Experience managing payroll tax filings directly, not just handing them off to a provider • Experience with multi-state US payroll for a remote, distributed team • Strong experience working within PEO and/or EOR structures • Familiarity with startup-focused platforms such as Rippling, Deel, Remote, or similar • Comfort working independently as the subject-matter expert, juggling many moving pieces and flagging tax, legal, and compliance risk before it becomes a problem • CPP, FPC, or a similar payroll certification is nice to have • Experience moving payroll in-house, switching providers, or migrating an HRIS is nice to have • Experience with equity administration in Carta is nice to have • Experience at a fast-growing company with a distributed, international team is nice to have
