• Review title orders according to company guidelines to evaluate title condition and insurability • Analyze deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, and probates for their impact on title • Research and review public records and legal documents to establish ownership, legal descriptions, and title-related issues • Identify title defects or discrepancies and develop solutions to resolve them • Explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients • Provide guidance on title issues • Meet production targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) • Maintain high production standards and complete tasks timely • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management • Participate in special projects as required • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and best practices • Produce accurate, timely, and high-quality legal work product for represented financial institutions
• At least 5 years of experience in title examination • Comprehensive understanding of real estate law and title examination processes • Ability to interpret complex legal documents • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent problem-solving abilities • Organizational proficiency • Familiarity with title examination procedures • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to sit or stand for long periods • Ability to remain focused for extended periods • Ability to work on computers for a significant portion of the day • Ability to perform repetitive movements as required, including typing, clicking, and swiveling • Ability to lift 10–20 pounds as needed • Applicants for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States • Newly hired employees must complete the I-9 form and provide documentation of identity and work eligibility
