LOVB Minnesota is the Minnesota club and market presence of LOVB (League One Volleyball), a national volleyball organization that operates junior clubs, youth tournaments, and a professional pro league launched in 2025. LOVB Minnesota kicked off its inaugural season with a roster combining Minnesota standouts and international players; it sits within a larger network that runs 90 clubs, 105 locations, training centers, thousands of teams, players, and coaches. The LOVB organization also operates a foundation to increase access to volleyball, sells tickets and merchandise, and produces media/insider content for fans.

📋 Description

• Lead and elevate the creative expression of LOVB Pro across brand, social, editorial, digital, and experiential touchpoints • Shape the visual language, aesthetic direction, and creative identity of the league • Contribute conceptually to athlete storytelling, tentpole moments, seasonal creative, and league experiences • Partner with the LOVB Pro CMO on project creative, strategy, and development of extraordinary work • Partner with the SVP of Brand within LOVB Studio to build culturally relevant creative across the LOVB Pro ecosystem • Define the look and feel of key LOVB Pro events and experiences • Translate creative direction into thoughtful, elevated, and culturally relevant visual work • Maintain a high level of craft, taste, and attention to detail across outputs • Stay connected to trends across sports, fashion, entertainment, art, and internet culture • Inspire and elevate the overall creative culture of the team • Help grow and support a small creative team

🎯 Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, elevated design sensibility, and strong visual storytelling • Excellent understanding of typography, composition, image-making, art direction, and visual systems • Strong understanding of social-first creative and how visual storytelling lives across platforms • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment • Strong communication and presentation skills • 7+ years of professional design experience within sports, fashion, entertainment, media, agency, or culture-driven brands • Experience building cohesive visual identities and creative worlds across both digital and physical spaces • Capable of working independently while effectively partnering with a distributed, remote team • Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools • Ability to clearly communicate via video, phone, and written channels
