The L Suite (TechGC) is an invitation-only executive peer community for chief legal officers (CLOs) and general counsels (GCs) that helps in-house legal leaders make faster, better decisions through curated peer networks, events, benchmarking data, and a collaborative member platform. It operates multiple focused cohorts (e. g. , TechGC, PubGC, FundGC, EnterpriseGC, Deputy, LegalOps) and provides confidential benchmarking, on-demand CLE, playbooks, vendor and counsel directories, and frequent industry events to support professional development and problem-solving.

📋 Description

• Own Redpanda’s commercial transactions from draft to signature • Build contracting infrastructure, including templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval workflows • Serve as the primary legal contact for customer, partner, and vendor agreements • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Security, and Finance to structure business-aligned agreements • Translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders • Advise on privacy, data protection, and the evolving AI regulatory landscape • Support the VP, General Counsel on a broad range of legal matters as the company expands • Help build the legal function from the ground up

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school • Active US state bar membership • At least 5 years of legal experience • Strong record of independently managing complex commercial negotiations for technology companies • Experience building contracting processes • Working knowledge of privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA • Ability to communicate complex legal analysis to non-legal stakeholders • Generalist mindset and adaptability • Comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment
