Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by lupus through research, education, support services, and advocacy. 📋 Description

• Implement assigned Walk to End Lupus Now events through peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate sponsorship, team recruitment, and committee and volunteer leadership development • Plan and execute regional Lupus & You Empowerment Conferences • Secure conference sponsorships, venues, speakers, and physician partnerships • Manage event communications, recruitment, and post-event follow-up • Build relationships with volunteers, participants, corporate partners, sponsors, and community leaders • Develop knowledge of lupus health issues, services, and mission initiatives • Integrate the Foundation’s mission throughout fundraising activities • Maintain accurate database records and assist constituents with fundraising software tools • Manage and maintain the Western Division’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn presence • Partner with the National marketing team on consistent messaging and branding • Support Western Division and national LFA activities as needed • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience implementing peer-to-peer special events, securing sponsorships, engaging volunteers, and coordinating committee development activities • Proven record of exceeding fundraising goals • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to adapt interpersonal and communication style for diverse audiences • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment • Self-starter able to work independently and under pressure while managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • High proficiency with computer software and applications, Office 365, donor tracking databases, and fundraising software • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, external customers, and vendors • Willingness to travel 25–30% of the time, primarily in the region • Availability for evening and weekend work, including Saturday and Sunday • Comfortable working remotely • Ability to lift 35+ pounds • Bachelor’s degree • Must live in Arizona • Dedicated home office or workspace with reliable internet connectivity • Reliable internet connectivity for virtual meetings • E-Verify participation and required background check
