• Develop, manage, and engage with Key Opinion Leaders throughout the assigned geography • Build advocacy for Keenova’s products with KOLs • Manage speakers and capture KOL beliefs and insights • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with regional KOLs in targeted specialties • Support deep KOL engagement with IDNs, Centers of Excellence, and professional organizations • Identify, map, and manage relationships with national associations and large treatment facilities • Coordinate and lead one-to-one exchanges between Keenova teams and KOLs • Attend and manage brand activity at regional and targeted national conferences • Manage regional sponsorships and own the regional congress plan • Coordinate executive meetings with KOLs at national conferences • Support conference and speaker contract requirements • Coordinate with marketing to ensure congress materials are delivered on time • Develop aligned external engagement strategies across medical, training, marketing, and sales teams • Coordinate with sales on conference KOL engagement and other KOL/account engagement • Provide market insights and input into peer-to-peer development, advisory boards, and strategy • Support Marketing in developing board strategy, content, and advisory recommendations • Attend advisory boards as appropriate • Coordinate KOL speaker bureau relationships and support speaker training • Provide congress insights summaries to the marketing team • Report to the Thought Leader Liaison Lead through Specialty Brands Marketing • Work independently with limited direction in a field-based role supporting the Immunology Business Unit • Travel frequently within the US and periodically to the corporate office
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry in customer facing roles • 5+ years of experience in thought leader engagement; medical affairs, marketing, sales/sales leadership or clinical experience • 3+ years working within Ophthalmology • Experience developing and executing HCP key strategies • Proven ability to develop and execute KOL mapping and plans, as well as building KOL advocacy in targeted therapeutic areas • Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and proficiency in complex disease states • Existing relationships with KOLs, opinion leaders, centers of excellence, etc. • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to navigate strategic accounts • Strong decision-making skills and highest ethical standards • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident executive presence • Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization • Ability to creatively address problems in an organized, systematic way • High degree of organizational awareness and ability to understand interdependencies and the big picture • Exceptional critical thinking to identify educational gaps, analyze findings, make recommendations, and articulate next steps • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotional activities, pharma industry guidelines, and compliance-related issues • Bachelor’s degree • Extensive field travel required • Willingness to work evenings and select weekends • Located near a hub airport is recommended
