📋 Description

• Lead the project management function and oversee administrative, financial, and client-facing delivery of sports construction and commercial projects from handoff through closeout • Manage and develop project managers and establish consistent project controls • Provide operational leadership for active and upcoming construction projects • Establish and improve procedures for planning, scheduling, cost control, document control, communication, quality, and safety • Review project scopes, estimates, contracts, budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and milestones • Monitor project schedules and portfolio progress; develop recovery and mitigation plans • Oversee contracts, change orders, submittals, procurement, permits, insurance documentation, correspondence, and project records • Guide contract buyout, cost control, forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, and profitability assessment • Review progress billings, support owner payment collection, and monitor financial issues • Maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors • Partner with Business Development and Preconstruction on pursuits, proposals, presentations, budgets, and awarded-work transitions • Coordinate with Design and Engineering on constructability, scope alignment, phasing, requirements, and design questions • Identify contractual, financial, schedule, staffing, safety, and quality risks and develop mitigation plans • Prepare or review monthly status reports, cost updates, forecasts, and cost-to-completion reports • Ensure project closeout, final documentation, outstanding work, and client handoff are completed on time • Travel to project locations to support teams, meet clients, review field operations, and address project needs

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing project managers and project teams • Strong knowledge of commercial construction project delivery, contracts, procurement, scheduling, cost control, and project documentation • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment • Strong financial judgment, including reviewing project budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, billings, and profitability • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, relationship-building, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills • Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal partners • Proficiency with construction project management software such as Procore and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 • Ability to read and apply construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation • Strong organization, integrity, work ethic, and ability to manage changing priorities with timely follow-through • Ability to travel to project locations as needed and maintain a valid driver’s license • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including project management and project delivery leadership • Experience successfully managing large-scale commercial, institutional, civil, sports facility, or athletic complex projects from start to finish • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered • At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading and developing project management personnel preferred • Experience with design-build, negotiated, or general contractor project delivery methods preferred • PMP, CCM, or other relevant construction certifications are a plus
