📋 Description

• Manage clients' financial operations, including taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll management • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payments • Lead tax planning and advisory for assigned clients • Collaborate with sales and business development on proposals, pitches, client meetings, and new client opportunities • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliation • Maintain current financial records and documentation using accounting software such as QuickBooks • Analyze financial data and trends to provide recommendations for financial performance and operational efficiency • Foster collaboration across departments to align financial strategies with business initiatives • Mentor junior accounting staff • Facilitate client onboarding and ensure adherence to established protocols • Contribute to client acquisition and retention efforts • Organize and update digital and physical financial records • Participate in external audits and provide required documentation • Prepare year-end audit schedules and support the audit process • Assist with documenting, designing, and testing financial processes and procedures • Assist in automating systems and spreadsheets to streamline accounting functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related • CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is a must • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting and tax, with a strong focus on tax planning and advisory • Public accounting experience is preferred • Proven experience advising clients on tax strategy/planning beyond compliance and preparation is a huge plus • Demonstrated experience in, or strong appetite for, client acquisition and business development, such as originating new engagements, leading proposals and pitches, or growing existing client relationships • Strategic, growth-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in long-term career advancement; strong performers may grow into leadership responsibilities over time • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and referral partners • International tax knowledge is a strong plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence presenting to clients • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Experience with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software • Experience with UltraTax and/or other tax preparation software • Dependable, self-directed, and detail-oriented, with an end-result-oriented work style • Positive team player and fast learner who masters new concepts quickly
